Flavor: Vegetal, Marine Sweetness, Lingering Smokiness
Silver Snake is a classic Vietnamese green tea, which is an important part of Vietnamese culture for its transcendental quality of binding people together. This traditional tea is harvested from May through October and is distinguishable by its twisted, matte green leaves and silver tips. Silver Snake brews a bright golden liquor, one taste will fill your senses with the richness of bold green tea (similar to Chinese Gunpowder green), it has rich vegetal notes, a marine algae-seaweed taste, and subtle sweetness. Second and third steepings leave one’s palate with the invigorating fullness of the infusion, and finishes with a lingering smoky taste.
Tea shipped in our Teas New Jersey storage tins can remain stored in their tins for long periods of time. Tea leaves are best stored in dry, dark containers with little air and safe from odors. Our tins are small and compact with little space for air to sit. They are great sizes for storing and stacking. We recommend purchasing tea in one of our tins if you do not have storage that fits the above qualifications. However, if you have storage and are ready for a larger amount of tea, you might consider selecting our 3oz pouch option, which you could transfer to a tin upon receiving.
